Hybe's rookie girl group TUIDE debuted by selling 112,282 copies of their first mini album 'TUNE & PLAY' in its first week of release on August 24, 2026. This achievement represents the biggest first sales for female musicians making their debut in South Korea this year.
The group debuted under Hybe's new label ABD, marking the label's first girl group release. According to Hybe, TUIDE has entered the top ten for debut album first-week sales among girl groups.
Despite this promising start, TUIDE's sales do not meet the outstanding 300,000-plus first-week sales levels seen by previous Hybe rookie groups. Since 2022, Hybe's sublabels have continuously generated female groups that outperform this criterion.
These statistics set a high standard for Hybe's rookie female groups, with TUIDE's first-week sales falling short.
The competition among rookie girl groups launching this year remains fierce. Another strong challenger, OURBIRTHDAY, a girl group from INNIT Entertainment, a subsidiary of JYP Entertainment, sold 111,324 copies of their debut single 'OUR BIRTH DAY', behind only TUIDE by 958 copies, making TUIDE the top debut female artist in 2026 by a slim margin.
