On his birthday, G-Dragon purchases more than 2,600 beverages for his supporters

Fans of K-pop frequently host special café gatherings with personalized cup sleeves, photo displays, and themed décor to commemorate their favorite idol's birthday. In order to participate in the festivities, other fans can visit these cafés and frequently buy drinks that feature the unique patterns.

In honor of his birthday on August 18, G-Dragon made the decision to reciprocate this year. The K-pop sensation gave fans free access to 2,632 drinks at specific cafés throughout Korea by paying for them in advance. Covering 188 beverages at each of the 14 participating cafés is the source of the figure; "188" stands for FANPLUS "ONE" + "88" (a reference to his birth year, 1988).
