@Middle7: Who's Behind You? NewJeans wants to sue a YouTuber and wants the US Court to help them reveal who they are.

The New York Times revealed on April 10 that NewJeans' label ADOR is requesting assistance from a federal court in California over a slander action.

The article claims that ADOR has asked a federal court in California to require Google, the parent company of YouTube, to disclose the identify of an unidentified YouTuber who goes by the moniker @Middle7. Defamatory videos concerning NewJeans have been posted by this YouTuber, and some of the videos have received millions of views.

Eugene Kim, an attorney for NewJeans, clarified that the account has consistently harmed the group's reputation by using derogatory language and engaging in other insulting behavior in the videos.

The group has already filed a criminal complaint in South Korea, but because @Middle7 is anonymous, they were unable to move further with the litigation. As a result, ADOR has moved to ask the US federal courts for assistance in identifying the user.
