Kim Tae Hyung, a member of BTS, paid ₩14.2 billion (about $10.3 million) for a lavish home in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. He is said to have paid cash for it and not taken out a loan.
V purchased apartment PH129 (The Penthouse Cheongdam) on the 17th of this month, according to the real estate registration as of the 24th. The apartment has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a total space of 273.96 ⎡ (about 2,951 sq ft). It looks like there was no collateral loan because no separate mortgage was recorded, indicating a full-cash transaction.
Early in May, the first sales contract was signed. On the 17th, ownership was passed from the developer when the outstanding balance was paid in full.
August 2020 saw the completion of PH129. The complex consists of 29 units, each constructed in a duplex arrangement, and extends from 6 basement levels to 20 storeys above ground. The property was once known as "The Penthouse Cheongdam," but it was later renamed "PH129" to reflect its address (129 Cheongdam-dong).
Prominent people including golfer Park In Bi, actor Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young, and celebrity lecturer Hyun Woo Jin are known to call the house home.
